Project Description
The project consists in the extraction of sand from an environmentally authorized marine bank with self-propelled dredges, for subsequent dumping in the coastal zone of Riviera Maya. The objective is to create sufficient beach widths to preserve the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (ZOFEMAT) and protect the existing infrastructure. The project length is 4.99 km, as well as the filling of three pits detected during the characterization of the site. A total of 1,764,805 m3 of sand will be poured. The project includes the construction of 6 concrete structures.
