Project Rationale
The auction aims to grant public electric power transmission service including the construction, assembly, operation and maintenance of transmission installations. The company that offers the lowest Annual Permitted Revenue (RAP) will be declared the winner for the provision of the public transmission service of each of the lots.
The studies prior to the bidding process in the reports (R1, R2, R3 and R4 Reports) of the Energy Research Company (EPE) took into account technical economic, socio-environmental consideration preliminary layout and engineering definitions. Thus, the implementation of these projects is in compliance with the planning solutions for the expansion so as to maintain reliability and the guarantee of fulfilling the electric energy demand.
In this context, the priority of this project in the government agenda is clear, since in addition to the importance reported in planning instruments and studies, there is an opportunity to increase investments and jobs. It is estimated that the implementation of the 24 lots will create more than 19,000 direct jobs.
