Project Description
Enhance the two rail connections 1.Rotterdam-Eindhoven-Düsseldorf and 2.Amsterdam-Eindhoven-Aachen-Cologne. This to get connected to the high-speed rail stations directly across the border. The first railway is not currently attractive for travelers due to trip duration and the bad transfer connections to other cities. For the second one, doubling of tracks is necessary between Heerlen and Landgraaf and electrification between Heerlen – border is required.
