The Midwest (FLORÍNEA-IGARAPAVA) Highways Project is a new round of operation, maintenance and investment application which provide society with effective public utilities. Despite the fact that the highways became more comfortable, secure and reliable, it is possible to point out particularities that brings more convenience to the users: (i) wi-fi available along the highway; (ii) weighing machine for moving vehicles; (iii) free-flow system – new toll system in which there is no need of stop or deceleration of the passing vehicles; (iv) toll rate corresponding to the highway section actually covered.
This lot includes the micro-regions of Assis, Borborema, Marília, Ituverava, Pongaí, São Joaquim da Barra, Sertãozinho, Novo Horizonte and Ribeirão Preto, totalizing 570 km of roads concession.
The region's economy is predominantly focused on agriculture, forestry, and logging, which corresponds to 21% of the economy of these municipalities. Other representative sectors include construction, with 6% of the economy, food and beverage, with 5%, and transport and storage, with 3%.
