The stretch of the highway BR-116/RJ/SP, known as President Dutra, is 402 km long and connects the two major metropolitan regions of the country (São Paulo and Rio). The average daily volume is 42,000 vehicles and there are more than 600 occurrences per day, including medical and mechanical assistances. This stretch is currently under the administration of Nova Dutra concessionaire, whose contract ends in March 2021.

The qualification of the project in the Investment Partnerships Program signals the beginning of studies for the realization of a new concession, to be implemented at the end of the current contract.
