Project Description
The Power Stations of Rondônia (Centrais Elétricas de Rondônia S.A.), also known as CERON, is currently controlled by the state-owned company Eletrobrás, which holds 100% of the company’s share capital. CERON is a closely held company and a public service concessionaire of electricity distribution. The main economic activities of the company are to design, build, and operate the electricity distribution service to its end-consumers. The company is responsible for serving 52 municipalities and 154 locations in the State of Rondônia. The concession area extends over 237,575 Km² reaching a population of approximately 1.6 million inhabitants and 589,332 consumer units. The company also serves 9 isolated systems through thermal parks based on diesel oil.
